Spray on fabric?

Is there such a thing as a spray on fabric? On the electric seat rails I just bought I noticed the plastic parts have like a fabric coating on them but its not upholstered or just glued on fabric. Is there anything out there that you spray it on with?

you spray glue on the surface and use a "dust-like" fabric to spray over it. It requires a special glue gun and the fabric gets applied from a tool that looks similar to a bee keepers smoke gun.

It gives the surface a velour finish.

well... I fixed some cig burns on a headliner once with adhesive and some shredded up felt. On a large application, I don't think it would be as practical.

Unless you have a rather large use for this technique, I would reconsider. All the equipment involved could take a good amount of money.

It's like going out and buying several hundred dollars of suspension tools to use once for a $100 job.
