Hood strut question?

How do I get the little clips off the bottom and top of the hood struts? Also, which direction do they run. I'm trying to change out the worn out ones and there not coroperating with me. I have pried a little with the flat head but can't figure it out.

Hahah..This is probably the most retarded question anyone ask.

Do what you've been doing... they should be like the rear hatch struts, correct? Just put a thin flathead in there and pop the clips out. They won't come out all the way, so when you get them out 1/2" or so, see if you can pull the strut off.

BTW, Fix your Cardomain link. It has the correct link visible, but you have to copy and paste for it to work.

hey i just changed mine the other day and i'm gettin ready to go attempt the hatch ones..

i used a flathead screwdriver and pushed it in the clip and kept bending the clip out until i could remove the hood portion. then for the lower part you'll notice the clip kinda fits over the nut, and then bends back. Lift (with screwdriver or i used my hands) the part that bends away, lift it away from the nut and the clip will slide off.

i bought mine from advance auto and the clip that hooks it to the hood came with it, but you have to reuse the one that connects it to the fender side.

hope this helps you some... anbd btw nice cardomain site - you're HOT! heh
