A combination of the stock sliders and some flatbar.

I took the feet off the stock sliders and welded them to some flatbar, swapped sides (drivers side to passanger and vica versa) and just bolted them in place. I don't have any pictures of the brackets or anything.

Do they get unbearably hot in the summer? I'm selling my leather seats for that reason.

There nice seats, but for a camaro i dont think they look right. The seat dont look like muscle car seats. Looks like somethin thats in a ***** or somethin.

i really think they spruce up the otherwise lackluster interior of a third gen, lets face it GM didn't exactly splurge on the interior on these cars! either way they are gonna be way sweeter than the lame a** 125,000 mile collapsed stock ones i had,and you can't beat the price.

How do they feel and such? Comfy?

At 170 each, that's not bad at all, and they look really good!

Yes, but are they of any quality? I've seen cheapo seats before that seem like you can bend them over your knee... They do look good though.

TTT, because I'm thinking the same thing.. Looking at the Summit picture, I wouldn't have cared. Looking at the ACTUAL picture, it's pretty good...
And, considering no one around here has ANY real Camaro seats in JYs, I'm looking at stuff like this..

Oh, and I don't know how you are, but I'm 6 ft and 155, so, if that's close to you, etc...

There about as quality as you'd expect for that price. Nothing amazing but not milkcrate territory either. They're comfy. I've done a couple roadtrips in them.

I'm 6'3" and ~175 now (was about 160 when I bought them).

I'M 6''1'' and 230 and they fit me like a glove.they have a lot more weight to them than other cheap seats i've seen before, the stiching in them is good, and the material feels nice and thick. i don't think that they will rip easily or wear thin. plus i only paid $140 each BEFORE the $20 each mail in rebait from SCHUCKS!

If you get them from schmucks now they come with levels to flip them forward which they didn't have when I bought them. Bastards. Ha!

What do you mean by that? That you can tilt them forward?

I always complained becase I felt like my seat was reclining. After having them out recently, I realized that tthe actual seat itself is nearly vertical.. However, the way the car mounts are, the seat leans back, so that even in the upright postioona, it's quite reclined... Do these fix this?

Yup, they are only $139 each before $20 mail in rebate (each; but rebate may be expired now) - at any CSK (Checker/Schuck's/Kragen). It's the same seat Summit sells for about $200, and more elsewhere (Jegs). I'm really tempted to get a pair - the distribution centers at CSK are almost out as it was a promotional purchase, so if you want 'em, hurry. CSK part number is SML-300...

Dang.. At 280 (think in pairs here), and a store within a mile of my house,... I'm SO tempted to buy these...

I've measured the seats and they are basically 3' from top to bottom - my 4th gen seats are basically 3'. I'm thinking they would be pretty proportionate (at home) in the 3rd gen

I don't know how all my original ones are, but it sure is dang close to the floor.. I'm driving the honda Civic while mine gets worked on.. YEsterday I sat in mine.. It feels os incredibly different... And incredibly asesme.. Nothing like that stretched out relaxed driving position...

The seats are nice. Ive been in Iansanes car, the are not incredibly comfy...but they are not bad. I am definitly considering getting a set for my car as the 150,000 mile seats are pretty worn out. cant beat the price.

i am interested in seeing how they hold up after a year or so in the car though and seeing if the letherette material/foam under it gets disfromed from people sitting in the car.

yes they do tilt full forward and back,by turning a rotary dial on either side,it sounds like the newer ones have a leaver instead of the dial. i'd love to see some pics of a mounting job,i'm getting a MIG welder this weekend and plan to build some brackets soon.

i saw an episode of overhaulin' where they used those seats.

took them apart and had green trim upholstered into them, looked pretty sharp.

nice looking seats, for that price i hope they don't wear out too fast!
