Parking lights on GFX conversion

I've started to convert my '84 SC to the 91-92 style ground effects. The front bumper I bought didn't come with the parking lights, so I just bought some aftermarket/OEM replacement ones off of eBay. I installed the bumper today, but when I went to install the parking lights I really had to push them into the openings. The bumper cover I bought is obviously an '85+ because it doesn't have the three horizontal slits in it, and it has the screw holes for the front spoiler. Plus, do the pre '85 parking lights mount differently than the earlier style? The back of the casings have a few holes for bolts, but there's no way to connect that to anything, so for right now I've just got them wedged into the bumper opening. Anyone have any ideas about this?
