Third brake light mounting problem (pic)

I got a third brake light (eBay) for my car, involved taking off the wing so that was a pain. But I got it all bolted back together and noticed that there was a space between the spoiler (wrap around) and the brake light housing. I dont think this is normal.

I read that some cars, the light bolted to the spoiler, but mine doesnt have the holes on the bottom of it, and dont want to start drilling.

The spoiler does touch at the back of the light, so its not a spacing issue I dont think, its like the angle is off.

Anyone got any ideas?

A gasket was already glued to the bottom of it, I wouldnt even call it a gasket, since it was so thin...I see it to protect from scratching the paint more then anything. Anyone have any pics of their brake lights?
