it could nearly buy you one lol.. I suppose the late thirdgens are around that. If you have a clean car with a good interior/exterior/drivetrain then the 83 at the moment has a NADA value of around 4500... or so... It really depends on the condition.

I build a fiberglass one and it looks great from the front and sides but when you look at it from the doors it just doesn't fit with the car. I'm going back to the 92 z hood it looks good from every angle. Also with the supercharger holwing hard the hood just lets all the noise out from the top, bottom and every where.
Just do a search on me or look for inverted cowl.

Heres a pic
I see the scoop now that it was mentioned. Its like the new shelby hood only not as extreme.

No.. that is not the original hood pictured.. that is a smooth cowl hood. the one shown original has an inverted scoop cut into it. take a very good look at that picture up top.. you will notice it. the jablong hood is no where near what that hood is
Here's a better picture to show you guys what the scoop looks like.

There is currently no hood like this for sale in the US market, only Japan (so you gotta import it). This style is different because instead of directing air above the intake it directs it into the radiator area. These ones from Japan (Grace Co I think is the name?) also have openings on the sides of the scoop where turbochargers would most likely be placed in the engine bay to help with heat extraction for a turbo application. I think those side scoops could be considered optional. For most cars the main scoop will help with cooling and heat extraction, not so much of a "ram air into filter" type of application. But in Japan some people have done a conversion to their car called a "v-mount" where this style hood then directs air into an intercooler for forced induction applications. Revlimit was the first person I know of in the US to make his own hood of this style, back in '02 or something.

edit...and the wheels look like these..only a non polished version. these you can probably get without going to japan if you find a dealer that sells work wheels.

Holy crap! Those Japanese Camaros are looking awesome! How ironic, our kids are buzzing in rice-rockets and they are driving Camaros!!!
Anyway, I like the lower profile hood and the heat extraction. If Kandie comes up with something like this I would buy it!
