Hood alignment, both sides

For some reason, most people show picutres and talk about the front of the hood, as opposed to the long space/line in between the fender and the side of the hood. How can i even up the gap on both sides of the hood?...the passenger side had a wider gap that the driver side.

I have the same question.

I just installed the finished from paint, formy hood on my Firebird and it doesn't line up right. When I installed it the first time, it lined up perfectly and was sitting with an equal gap along every seam. Now, I can't seem to get it straight. Was it dumb luck that I got it right the first time?

What is the best way to do this? Trial and error?

if it is a metal hood, then you can open the hood and push on the side that is tight. this will bend the hinges a little bit. that usually works well if your looking to move just a little bit. on my glass hood i had to use body shims to get it to line up nice.

my fenders are really close at the back
be real careful adjusting the hood, ive had one corner of my hood literally sit on top of my fender, from uneven pressure in the shocks or something.. it only happened once in awhile but it only takes once to chip the paint off your fender
