i recently replace my weatherstipping with the oem stuff. and i notice it is still leaking but not as bad. it leaks were the safe in the hatch is and on the opisite side in the same spot. it seems like the trunk doesnt latch far enough down. i have notice spilling over the top of the weatherstripping, if u have any ideas let me know.

It's probably leaking where the glass meets the deck lid. I removed my deck lid and resealed the entire thing. You could also run a bead where they meet and check for leaks again.

As long as you have good weather stripping it shouldn't leak. The seal under the glass gets old and often leaks, I would start there, good luck.

Problem fixed, just silicon the curved shape things that meet the weatherstripping on both sides and problem fixed.

Good, even though it's just a temp fix. I totally removed my deck lid from the glass and resealed it the right way, glad you stopped the leak.

IF they were leaking, id check for rust. I noticed a SLIGHT leak, not more then a drop had started, and I pulled the entire decklid apart (gave me an excuse to align it ). When I got the thing apart, there was some borderline bad rust under the silicon that was under those plastic spacers. The water had gotten in and stayed, and had started to eat everything up. Also, if you find a hint of rust, keep digging... It'll get worse. Thankfully I found it before it was too bad, and there were no rust holes (close though). I also found a small leak in the bead where the lid meets the window.

ya, thats a good idea too, but not quite what I was saying haha. The actuall decklid, the metal piece of the hatch itself, was rusty under all the silicon on mine. Just somthing to be aware of.
