Black Interior or Keep It Original?

I've got a black with gold trim 1988 IROC T-top with the orignal tan colored interior. Everything is in pretty decent condition exept for a huge cigarette burn in the back seat, the usual arm rests coming unglued, and the seat belts have seen better days. I have been thinking about redoing the interior in black but I can't decide if it would look good with the car. I kinda like the tan interior, I feel it goes well with the gold trim on the exterior. But I feel a black on black with leather seats would look wicked. Or maybe even a color combo of the two. So I was wondering if you guys had any opinions on the matter. Should I do it black or work on the tan?
If any one that has done the same would care to share their experiences or pictures of the final product that would be sweet. I wouldn't think it would be too much work to complete the project but I am not sure. Thanks in advance.

Change to black, mine has black int and we changed my friends from tan to black. My car was org red and now med tuq. met, soon to be ? the other one is the org/redish color. I have always thought the black int looked the best.

Black interiors bore me, especially on black cars. There's so much texture and uniqueness to an interior that you completely lose with black. Dash to door panels to headliner to seats to carpet to plastic panels to center console... they all just disappear into a sea of nothingness in a black interior. In a tan interior, you wind up with a great combination of different seat & door panel fabrics, carpet and headliner that really get set off by the black dash and center console. The interior is so much more alive and active.

Black on black is awesome. Of course it had better be black leather, and preferably, black leather 4th gen seats.

I'm not a fan of black cloth though.

I actually kept mine black and grey. The contrast is nice and of course I didn't have to replace every single panel since the original was grey.

Black on black leather is the sex.
