I bought an '82 Trans Am as a parts car and just realized it has PMD seats. They're in really rough shape and I have no idea if these are a common thing or something special. I'll be taking them out tomorrow and don't really know if I should save them.

The Knight Rider guys love them, save them and make a post to sell them. You won't make a killing for them but you will make a couple of bux's.

if they are restuffed and recovered...they are probably the most comfy 3rd gen seats around!

 

Pretty much all '82 TA's had them...nothing special. They carried over to 83's also.

 

I wouldn't call them "nothing special" but they are getting harder to find. I recovered the seat that is in my '82, they are so comfy!
