what to do with dash and cage
has anyone modified the stock dash top to work with a cage? I'm thinking of maybe making a fiberglass mold of the stock dash and then modifiing it to work with a cage. I like the look of the dash and want to keep it but its gonna cause a major headache with my cage.
Utility knife the dash pad, saw-zall the dash frame
Take your time and make the cuts very snug to the cage and it'll look good
You could fiberglass a dash but why bother when you could modify a stock one just as fast
Id assume youd gut the dash out since you got a cage, so it really wont weigh much more than fiberglass

I used construction paper and three dash pads to get it to fit the way I wanted. My down bars have a bend in them where the dash pad goes in made it a little more difficult.
