marker lights different sizes?

I have my 84 Z28 and I swapped on a 85-90 IROC style nose and now the turn signal marker housing in the front end won't allow the bulb socket to snap in. Are there different sockets for the various years for the marker lights ? If so do they sell them new under a certain part number and I can just splice into the factory wiring?

yes, they are different from 82-84 and 85-92. best bet would be to get the sockets from an 85+ and splice them in. (boneyard)

and sportcoupes are a whole 'nother ball game...i had that issue when putting the front end on my car (originally a 90)
