Rubber aerowing arms + plastic wing?
I have a '91 aerowing that was shipped to me broken. The wing part is AOK, but the arms are useless. So I got 2 arms from the older style rubber Aerowing that I intend to attach to the plastic newer style wing.
My plan is to cut the rubber arms down to the metal inside the arms, then insert them into the plastic wing with some heavy duty glue.
Sounds good so far. Now the part where I need some imput is what do I use to "fill" in the area where the 2 totally different materials meet. Anyone have a suggestion?
I was thinking bondo or something like that. Will that work? I am fine with it cracking in a couple years down the road, that means what I did was a 2 year sucess and I should have the $600 to fix it. I am just sick of the standard wing on such a sleek looking 1991 Trans Am.
