Quarter Panel Or Skin

Year One Website what just what i was lookin for Thanks much
http://www.yearone.com/serverfiles/h...p?hid=G20AC229

1982-1992 Firebird, driver side quarter panel, GM. $428.00
1982-1992 Firebird, driver side quarter panel skin, aftermarket. $82.00
So whats the difference between the panel and skin??? Besides the price lol!!!
If im not mistaken the panel is just the hole panel and the skin is the skin out the hole panel???

Both sides need to be replaced because of a rust bubble that started, and is chipping off now, that suck looks like sh**!!! im thinkin because it pretty bad i need the hold quarter panel. because it goes all the way throu???

"Aftermarket quarter panel skins differ from complete quarter panels in that they are only the lower, outer sheetmetal panel. They do not include the sail panel area, nor do they include the door jamb or rear hatch inner weatherstrip lip. Quarter panel skins make great repair panels for minor collision or rust damage. All are EDP coated for rust protection during storage"
