body seam sealer coming off

has anybody had the body seam sealer on the firewall, under the cowl, and/or under the carpet come off. i pulled the carpet to install a cage, and noticed it there first, then in the other areas. what is the best fix for this?

just a suggestion

theres other things that you can use, but you want something that remains flexible and still keeps the moisture out.

Use a good quality urethane seam seal. The stuff from the 80's and early 90's is pure garbage. It dried out and cracked and fell out, which is exactly what you are experiencing.
Any good autobody supply store will carry something.
As with all body supplies...you get as much out of it as you want to spend. You COULD spend 40 bucks each tube, and get 3M AUTOMIX 2-part (similar to their plastic repair, and uses the same gun.). BUT, you'd have to buy the gun, AND it would probably take a couple tubes....

Edit: Follow the link that 87CIZ gave you, It has every sealer you'd want.
