Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone may have some advice a good way to repair/seal some screwholes on the sheetmetal floor of the car leftover from an old stereo and HAM radio installation. These were left by the previous owner, most of them are in the storage area of the hatch, and there are 4 in the center hump of the car just under the console.
I was wondering how best to seal them off and rustproof them. I thought of just putting some silicone on them, but I dont want to have to worry about it in the future, and want it fixed rite. Any help you could give would be much appreciated. Thanks.

grind them smooth and weld in patch panels or have the hole welded shut, then grind the welds smooth, paint, undercoat, por-15 or whatever after that.

Or if you don't want to do that, you can get some 3M seam sealer (comes in a caulking tube) and seal the holes that way. Not the best way, but if you don't want to weld, that's how I would do it.
Thanks for the advice, I think I may score some of the body seam sealer and hava go at the holes. Welding them up isn't something I can do here at home.

maybe you could fill them with solder like from a soldering iron
I have heard of oldschool body repairs using lead (solder), but you would have to get it so hot for the lead to stick you might as well just weld it. I am an electronics tech by trade, so soldering is at least one thing I know how to do well. I wish I had paid better attention during metals class in high school tho hehe.

The por-15 folks make a great product called por patch. If you're not into welding, that stuff works great!
