Window removal? Easy hard?

I am preparing my car for a paint job. Basically all the panels are off and all I am left with is the doors, windscreen and carpet inside which I can basically pull out now anyway.

But the question I have is how hard is it to remove the window from inside the door? I have electric windows. I have looked at the mounting of the window but I can't really see what I should be removing. There are a few white plastic bits at the bottom which attaches the window to the frame that moves up and down. But they kind of look like rivets and not screws. And they do seem a bit awkward to get to.

I getting all the metal panels bead blasted as well as the doors. But if it is PITA of a job to pull the window out and align it back up after I might leave the doors on and mask off the entire open area, and stripp it back manually instead of the bead blasting.

Any suggestions or tricks?

The car is looking fully sick, once painted it is going to be one big jigsaw puzzle, but hopefully my labelling of bolts and nuts will help me out.

Mike

its a pain, especially if you've never pulled one before. Don't do it unless you absolutly have to. There is some risk of breaking the window or scratching it.

Tips: Leave the window motor in and battery connected so you can adjust window height to remove it. Take off those black window "triangle" that is toward the windshield. What you are trying to do is get the window rollers off of their tracks. When you get the rollers off of the tracks, you will have to move the window towards the interior part of the door.

The window in my 83 just shattered one day upon closing the door. so I had to replace it. I got one from a junkyard car, drilled out the rivets, and put it in place with very short bolts so it wouldnt interfere with anything. IIRC it wasnt that bad if you're mechanically inclined.
