first go get yourself a nice metal bat, and take care of the people that did it polishing compound or rubbing compound might take care of it, but depends on how deep scratches are. Let me guss you dont have full coverage

Run your fingernail across the scratch. If it catches, it's definately too deep to buff, and probably too deep to wetsand out. If only the clear is scratched, that should make fixing it a lot easier. You could probably buy just the clearcoat part of those 2 part scratch fix systems sold in most auto parts stores, fill in the scratches, wetsand smooth, and buff back to normal. I've never used that stuff though (I assume it's a lacquer), so hopefully someone who knows a bit more can chime in and give you a yea or nay on trying it out.

Sorry to hear about that, some punk needs a good beating.

Nah, just climb under their car and drain the oil, trans, and coolant
I'm just playing, don't take that seriously. As for the scratches, I found this GS-15 scratch remover or something along the lines of that. Its works surprisingly well for fixing clear coat scratches or taking off the crap thats been spot welded there by the sun (some of you know what I'm talking about). Its good in a pinch if you don't have a buffer or similar device on hand. I always worry about this happening to my car when I drive it to school. I want to get a lockable gas cap to keep people from puttin crap in my tank.

it just depends how deep the key scratches are. Chances are....the sratches went through the clear, base, and primer. In that case, those areas will have to be sanded, feathered, and repainted
