is this smart?

well i love the looks of the 3rd gen camaros so this is the best thing i can think of......and i dont know if this is where this topic belongs so if its not, sry. well im looking for a rolling chasis with a good body on it like no rust on it, well if i can get this what kind of engine can i put in it, i was thinking about an ls1 v8 but then i went to an ls1 site and saw some of them puttin 6.0 truck engines in there so would that be possible in one of these 3rd gens, and last question would it just be smarter to just look for a 350 v8 thirdgen than to do all of this other work? any help is great...thanks

you can put a bigblock in the thirdgens or an ls1 or an lt1 or an ls2 or lt4 or a 383 stroker, whatever you can think of there's a way to get it in there. but the catch is what it's gonna cost and how long it's going to take to get it done. if you're looking for a car that you can just get in and drive then obviously you're going to want to find a v8 car right off the bat. there are lots of mods that you can do to get good power out of a stock 350. but if you're looking for a good project and have lots of time and money on your hands then go ahead and find yourself a rolling chassis that you can do what you want to. but to make things easier for yourself, find a car that originally had a v8 in it.

just get a z28 or iroc with a 350 already in it, that's your best bet

cold air intake, complete exhaust, ignition system, steeper gears, you've got a peppy car
