What is this piece called?

During disassembly of the Formula, I discovered this piece under the front fascia to be broken, however my shop manual doesn't list the name for it.
Note:the 1987 Firebird shop manual uses the illustration of an 82 to 84 Firebird front end.
Thanks!

Transmission: Who orders an auto in a Camaro??
Axle/Gears: Economy gears..once again, WHY?!?
I'd call it a splash shield/or splash guard? That's all it is is a piece of plastic put their to stop crap from flying up all in the engine bay and stuff.

The Motor collision guid called it a 'side air baffle' then denotes looking towards the ground effects group listing which, is generic on description.

I wouldn't say it's much of a splash shield as it is forward of the tire and engine bay.

JMO though..

I also believe it is a splash shield, but on the 82-4 models the piece is actually the front GFX

Better explanation, the picture you are looking at is the GFX of an 82-4, I have a set in my shed and they look exactally like the pic.

Re: What is this piece called?

82 iron duke is correct it is the front gfx piece on the early third gens

i sold mine from my 82 trans am last winter because i am only going to run the small gfx pieces in front of the rear tiresonly

the gfx on these early third gens was alot smaller and so much less noticeable ,most ppl have no idea there was gfx like this on these cars due to this

they look identical to that in the pic

i would show the pic of mine i had on my photobucket but i just deleted the pics about an hour ago whilke iwas cleaning out old pics and sold stuff
