TRUNK PROBLEMS PLEASE HELP.....

is there any way i can take away my electric trunk and just have aq normal one. thats all i want is for it to work, i am shut it a hundred times and it doesnt wanna work, fuse is good, it was workin then all of a sudden stopped...

You can go to a junk yard and pick up and none electric one and just replace it

If you've evertried that you'd discover that the motorized pull-down latch has a COMPLETELY different mounting than the earlier slam latch. You can convert it a couple of ways. You could cut the mount for a slam latch out of a junker, cut the mount for the motorized one out of yours and weld the other one into your car. The alternative is to jerry-rig yours to convert it to a slam latch. I've seen this done by several methods, welding, bolting, baling wire and chewing gum, etc. You just have to make sure that you have the latch mounted in the right spot. There is enough anjustment in the square holes used to mount it to be off a bit and still get it aligned right.

I sell all the replacement parts and reinforce the plastic housing to make it stronger in case you want to repair it right.
