Door Hinge

Im replacing the door on my 86 camaro z28 Iroc-Z. I got the old door off with both the bottom hinge and top hinge still on it. The new door i got doesn't come with the full bottom hinge. I was woundering if anyone new how to get the pin out of the bottom hinge off the old door so i can mount that piece back on the car. If you have any idea how it works please let me know. Im sure someone has done this before because third gen camaro doors tend to rot out on the bottom.

On the pin itself, it will have like a retaining clip around the pin. Remove the clip and just lightly hammer the pin out.

Yeah i saw the clips but the pin itself wont even start to move. IT hasn't touched the retaining clips yet.

You can get a new pin at advanced auto for like $6 with new bushings. If you are too cheap (as myself is) hit it harder with that hammer

I was in the same situation, I used a sawzall to cut the pin in half. After it was in half because of all the vibration it just slid out.
