i think to powder coat the car, if it even possible would be so expensive that its not even remotely practical, nor wouold you want to powder coat over rust anyway. what exactly is rusty? floorpans? suspension?

Best thing to do on the cheap, assuming we are talking scale and surface rust and not rot, is to sand/wire wheel all the loose crap off, soak the areas in Oshpo, then coat with some good paint like Master Series.

does master-series make that stuff in BLACK?

if im going to touch up some rust spots under the car, id rather use black, for appearance purposes, so theres not streaks and patches of silver?

any recomendations>

Yes, they make it in black, as well.

I believe that they recommend laying down several coatrs of the silver, the topcoating with the black. You might be able to use just black, but read their site to be sure.

The silver fills in pits and small surface imperfections.
