Rain is the worst thing for a car. Also acid rain in New York will just eat your paint up. I wouldn't drive the car until the forcast clear & no rain. Real hot days with with High UV sun dosent help either. Even if you keep it in a A/C garage on a quite night you might hear ... rust, rust , rust type sounds as the metal falls off,

Looks like it's survived the last 15 years being driven in the rain just fine, have at it.The real question is. Are you a good enough driver to handle it in the rain if the back end gets loose from you? These cars are prone to doing that quite often.

nothing wrong with driving your car in the rain unless you have a gutted airbox

actualy snow and salt are the worst thing for your car. But, 91 z28s have plastic and such covering most spots that will rust. I have a 91 and i used to drive it in the winter (lame I know) and it has no rust still. Just keep it clean.

rain is not bad if you keep all the weather stripping gutters clean and make sure all the weap holes are free from obstruction.

Its actually a good bath for the undercarriage of your car

i think the question while rudimentary was still valid. i myself have wondered the same thing at times. and i have a gutted box and custom ram air, ive never had any problems in the rain. it gets my K&Ns a bit damp but i just re-oil them and theyre fine. youd have to drive throught a massive puddle to really hurt anything.
