How to rustproof after drilling holes?
I'll be buying a strut tower brace soon. It requires that I drill several holes in my engine bay. Obviously, there will be exposed metal due to the drilling.
What are my options for rustproofing these areas?
Thanks!
Bill

I installed a strut brace in my 87. After drilling all the holes- and making sure that it fits right, pull the bolts back out. Use a small paint brush (hobby size) and touch up the metal with the right color paint. I say use the right color in case you spill some or make drips. If all you have is black enamel, then use that. if you really wanted to take your time with it, you could use primer first, then the color. if all you have is spray paint, then spray it into a top of a paint cap, then use the brush. it should work fine. The factory doesn't even take the time to do this. Pat
