Im switching my 84 coupe bumper for a 87 Iroc bumper what would be my first steps anything i need to know before hand?

 

Should swap right over. Does your car have ground effects? The ground effects are different between the two but Im sure they swap over. And the plastic clips that clip the bumper the the reinforcement are a pain in the ***. Also, The black plastic piece that the headlights mount into comes off with the bumper. You'll attach that to the new bumper and then bolt them both back to the car. To get started you remove the plastic cover in front of the hood latch and start pulling bolts. Post up if you need more info.

 

id get some shims and check the spots where the ground effects (if it has the skirting) go into the fender are there if not you'll need to make the elongated holes.

 

He has the same car i got. there are no ground effects so u should be fine
