What kind of paint for my tailight mod?

I am going to start my tailight mod (camaroguy18's tailights) and I needed to know what type of paint I could use on them. I want to get paint that I can use in a spray gun, because I have one and it is begging to be used. No spraypaint please. I have done that before on other things, and the results are not all that great to me. All I need is black paint and some clear coat. So could someone tell me what I could use? Links if possible!

When you go into the paint shop, tell the guy behind the counter what you are doing. Those people are there to make sure you get the right stuff the first time. I would consider it a much better resource than internet info anyway. Good luck, and paint experience comes with time and trial and error. Other should people should buy a paint gun for their faded 24 year old paint jobs, and just try it.

First off, I got the gun with a compressor set my best friend bought me for christmas. Second, not everyone knows everything, and it was just a simple question because I don't want to fudge up my nice tailights with the wrong paint. I don't understand why some people have to post stupid comments like that. If its not related to the thread, then don't post! Jeez, just needed to get that out there.

And thank you for the info BADNBLK, I will hit up the paint shop next week.

I'm not trying to smoke them. Just repaint them and clear them.
