I would like to find some pics of 3rd and 4th gen spoilers, I am unsure the differences..
I have an 82 and would like to get one of them, and I know what I am looking for in my mind, but not in term..

Can anyone help and point me in the right direction or post pics please..

Also I am looking for a type of conversion table or list, cause I am told so many things will not interchange with 82-92..
And have heard tons of stuff that they all interchange..

stock 4th gen spoilers are not a direct fit. The two middle supports need to be extended with fiberglass. Aftermarket 4th gen style spoilers made for thirdgens fit no problem.

4th gen door handles bolt right in as a replacement.

4th gen rear axles fit but thirdgen tires will stick out about 2" per side. Have to use 4th gen wheels in the rear axle if you go with a 4th gen rear.

4th gen dashes and door panels will fit, but wiring, cutting, and other modifications are required.

The 4th gen 3.4L V6, the shortblock anyway, can be used to upgrade a 2.8L V6 or 3.1L V6.

LTX, LSX, 3.8L V6 (other 4th gen engines) can be put in a thirdgen but not a direct swap. Transmissions can be made to fit too.

4th gen Airbag equipped steering wheels and thirdgens equipped with a driver's airbag are swappable. (Requires modifications??)

4th gen center consoles can be made to fit in a thirdgen with a thirdgen dash. (Requires modifications)

4th gen wheels can fit on a stock thirdgen with the use of wheel adapters(also called spacers)

4th gen seats are a bolt-in replacement

4th gen front seatbelts bolt right in

4th gen rear seatbelt assemblies can be made to fit (Requires modifications)

4th gen firebird mirrors can be bolted on but the holes in the thirdgen door need to be filled in. (Requires modifications)

I think 4th gen radios are swappable?

4th gen antifreeze overflow tank(Requires modifications)

4th gen LS1 plastic gas tanks (Requires modifications)

4th gen window washer fluid tanks (Requires modifications)

82-92 is thirdgen correct?

if so, can anyone get me pics of the spoilers that were stock in those years that will interchange on that body style without major mods..

There is a pic of a blue firebird on hawks and it has a different spoiler on it, this is why started wondering
