Quarter panel question

I'm looking to replace one of my front quarter panels on my 84 camaro and noticed on the underside at the rear it looks as if there is a seam and it has been bent forward.I checked the other side and it's the same,I was wondering if this is common(maybe caused by a lift?)and how hard is it to correct? Thanks

the rear's are called quarters. the fronts are called fenders on a thirdgen car.

as to the seam your talking about it's just a part of the fender and where you bolt the lower half of the fender to the unibody. this is often bent by people who aren't careful when jacking up the car so yes your best bet would be to carefully and safely pry this tab so that it's straight and you can access the bolt properly to remove the fender.

however because you are calling your fenders quarters and part of your fender a possible seam do not take my advice word for word. this is just to get you pointed in a direction. pictures always help of course.

good luck.
