Windshield wiper help

So I go and get everything I need to get my 89 camaro back on the road including windshield wiper blades. First off I have an 89 camaro rs with 305 and 700r4. I bought 18 inch blades. I feel really dumb asking this but either way I have to. I looked at the blades on my car and am lost on how to remove them. I looked in my book and did a search. I found nothing. The book said to release a button to remove the windshield wiper blade. All that I have been able to do is remove the blade. I hope that this is clear as to what I am saying. All that I removed is the rubber portion. Is this what is referred to as a refill when you look up the part on autozone.com? Thank you for your assistance in advance.

Most all newer style wiper blades are held on by a little plastic clip. There are a bunch of different variations of these clips. If you can't figure out how to release them, just break the clip off.

If it's an older style blade that uses a metal retainer, there should be a small tab near where the wiper arm peg goes through (on top of the wiper iirc). Get a flat head screw driver or something under the tab and hold it up as you remove the wiper.

I hope this helps. If it's a different style from the ones I've described, then a picture would give us something to go on.

You are correct. There was not a button to press. I just had to pry it off with a screwdriver. Worked great. Now I have two new windshield wipers on my car. Thank you so very much.
