i can't attach files on this website but i have them also... i like the look alot as i feel the car personally looks funny without the handles but the locks help to clean it up a bit. i left my hatch obviously for emergencies but so far i haven't had any issues.

Well, I put in C/K series truck door handles, that have the key locks integrated in them.

Some day I'll do my GTA too.

I checked out Graboid's camaro and it is sweet. I was worried that it wouldn't look right without the locks but it looks awesome.

I got the idea from a magazine build years ago. When I went to the junkyard, annd pointed to a total C/K series truck, handed me their BIG saw, and told me to cut out what I needed. The doors were trash otherwise.

Wasn't real hard...In the bottom pic, you can see the 4 screws used to hold it up for aligning. A scribe mark was made, then it was flush mounted, making the cut a "little" smaller than the scribes, and flangeing the sheet metal. The inside rod just needed some finess/reshaping to work right, and it worked pefectly! No more rattling door handles.

Man...All this talk is making me wanna hurry up the process of doing again!

Stephen, That's a REAL sweet mod! Just one question, what was the exact truck you got the door handles from?

That's easy...Any '88-'98 1500,2500, or 3500 Chevy or GMC truck will work.
