I don't have a rotissere, But I want to paint under my car, granted the paint doesn't have to be picture perfect, but I would like it to be nice and shiny new red, before I paint the top of the car the same color.. Any ideas of what I could do to accomplish this? I am removing the K-member and the rear axle.. I was thinking of how I might can jack the car up on one side and paint it and then do the other side.. but I don't know with the wheels off how that's possible..

Please give ideas!

 

put it on a lift at a shop or buy 4 jackstands and a high lift jack and jack it up somewhere and scrap off the old and clean it really well and then paint it.

 

i.m almost 90% done with mine , get big jack stands so when its up it will still be safe , get some dust masks [the paper ones] you will need them put a bunch of card board down and get to scraping and washing. the rear end area is the worst , un less your motor was a leaker then its a toss up. i don't like the one side up higher idea "RISKY"! alot of work but well worth it. tom
