Im pretty sure it depends what you have, if you have the spoiler, or not, ect. just read the descriptions of what they're meant to hold.

thats where i was kinda confused. ONe of the perameters was steel hood. What does the hood have to do with my hatch? ANyways, all i have is the small fin like spoiler found on most rs's. I thin the cheaper one will do it, i hope.

TimC has it correct. The struts are sized to lift the weight of the rear deck and all attached accessories. So you need to purchase the struts that match your car deck lid description. Typical weight adders are spoiler, rear wiper, and rear louvers.

I'd probally go with the one thats 4 up from the bottom, its $28.95. and the reason Id go with that is on my brothers 91 RS he got the struts that were made for no spoiler although he has the fin spoiler, and it works fine.

Does your car have the rear defroster? There's specific ones made for whether you do or not.
