88 doghouse fit a 92 trans am

i wrecked my 92 and theres an 88 ta at a local junkyard and i can get it fairly cheap(junk title) the guy said it wont fit on my car cuz my car is a 92 and they switched nose styles..... arent 82-92 basicly the same body besides ground effect holes...plz tell this guy doesnt know what he's talkin about. Will an 88 front end fit on my 92??

If you're talking about the front bumber, then yes it'll work but your car will look like an 88 and not a 92 any more.
