Painting question.

Hi, in the summer, I'd like to sand my car down, and repaint it the factory colour. (Black). I've painted a few cars before, and my father has done it for years, but my question is, since I'm going to be using a Urethane, can I paint the front and back bumper covers with it? Or will I have to use Acrylic Enamel for those?

Nope. Urethane will be fine for the bumpers as well.

Re: Painting question.

If your father has done it for years why not ask him.

Do not forget flex agent if you use Urethane.

Re: Painting question.

He's only used Acrylic Enamel, never Urethane on the whole car. He has used Urethane in the door jambs, firewall, and those places that get covered up by body panels, because a guy at Cross Canada said that because the Urethane is so heavy, that it hides most body lines.

Re: Painting question.

enamel is very heavy as well. Same properties. Enamel can cover in one coat if done right.
