I need to remove the sticky gooey nasty black chewing gum muck that holds the windshield in place. I was able to cut most of it off but there is still a thin film in the recessed area and spot welds. The rust has just pitted the metal and no holes have to be repaired. Just need a clean surface to work with. I was hoping that someone has had a little experience with this problem.
