Black on black with stock rims?
Black on black with stock rims?
I have an '88 firebird that I'm about to paint triple-coat black basically, and am wanting to get more of a black. I'm debating about what to do with the rims though. I was wondering if anyone's ever seen these rims powder-coated and black?

I can't imagine that it'd look good, but as mentioned, I'm sticking with a dark black look, including having either blackout taillights, or getting a custom pattern on them that'd make them look more like the 4th gen's. I just can't picture them in black. Any opinions? Thanks

i don't think it'd look too horrible. maybe have the pontiac logo etched out afterwards or something to break things up a bit...
Re: Black on black with stock rims?
ya, I was thinking about making the "Pontiac" logo gold, and keeping all those other small things like the firebird symbol behind the side window gold as well, and a few other smaller things. Then maybe I can somehow mod a firebird cap to go on those rims and paint it black w/ a gold firebird logo, or vice versa.
