Went to what I thought was fix a small rust spot today on my passanger door around the lock. Come to find out, someone had attempted in the cars past to pop the lock and damaged the area. It was hammered, rusted, twisted, welded so bad, that when we struck an arc, it blew the metal away. So it is now beyond normal repair. At the moment, I dont have money to buy a new/used door, and I dont mind modifications on my car.

So.. Has anyone shaved just the lock hole?
Do you regret it?
pics? (I think its gonna look weird)

My old s10 was fully shaved, locks, handles, body lines, antenna, etc. I found that to be a bit much for a daily driver. I dont think I'm going to miss the lock on that side except when I go on a date and need to unlock the door for the lady. I'll just need to fix the electric lock and install this alarm on my car.

I know 82firebird has shaved just the locks, on both doors. www.acsbird.com

I'm going to have mine shaved off soon, just the locks. Not regretting it. I think its going to look better without them.
