rubber piece

I have a 89 camaro and my car is leaking in the back seat. I have new weather stripping around the trunk and I know that is not where the leak is coming from. I think the leak is coming from the trunk hinges. It looks like it is leaking from the rubber pieces that are between the body and the hinges. I cant find those rubber pieces does any1 know what they are called or any ideas on where to get them thanx

Re: rubber piece

Mine was leaking from there too, if you remove the bolts for the hinge at least on mine. From the factory was a goo type around the head of the bolts to keep water out. Over time it has worn away and water was dripping in around those bolts. I took them out, applied some silicone and then tighten those bolts back up. Once the silicone dried it made a new seal.

That seemed to stop those leaks.

That should fix it if it's leaking around the bolts. If it's the gasket you'll probably have to cut it out yourself. LMK if you can't find any of the gasket material.
