Re: Match paint color??

Drive it to a paint shop and have them analyze it and mix up some paint to match exactly

Well, since I'm in Kansas, I can't quite direct you to one in your area...I'm sure they make a phone book yellow pages directory, you could look under automotive paint in there and find one or two at least

Re: Match paint color??

Most R&M, DuPont or BASF authorized paint shops have very accurate color books with sample chips in them. If the paint has been on for a while and I see its Red, then it couldve faded. If you are just fixing a booboo then the chip book at the car would be best. If its a total re-paint, and you seek the orig color, the ServiceOptions decal in the console has a paint code at the bottom. Will be a WA L #### - U #### and have most likely BC/CC at the far end. The U is the upper/main color and the L is the lower color. If it was a solid colored car, the L is the same as the U. If it had a diff colored lower then L is different. BTW, BB/CC means BaseCoat and ClearCote. Also a GM dealer parts counter can decode the OEM color code. Hope this helps
