The paint that just wont end!!
I am seriously beginning to think I did something horrible in a past life. I got a hood off of a guy on here a couple years back and we both said it looked like it had a MAACO respray on it. Well here I am now getting ready for paint and holy smokes!!!! This hood has 4 paint jobs on it. I cant believe how think this junk is. And it is a pain in the back side to sand. I am going at it with 60 grit on my DA and it seems the clear coat on each layer is made of diamond dust. I tried Chemical stripping with Tal-Strip aircraft paint remover and i think I heard the paint laugh at me. I figure I may just have the dang thing media blasted. Any thoughts??

A paint stripping wheel and an angle grinder made short work of it
. Nice and flat and about 20 pounds lighter with out all that darn paint.
