Gun setup help please!!
I have searched, but not found my answer..I just purchased a hvlp gun from carquest and the instructions gave no help on set-up. The gun has 3 *****. 1 on bottom for air flow, then 1 for pattern and 1 for fluid.
My question is mainly about the air ****. If i set my compressor to 45psi and my regulator at the gun for 15, what do i do with the bottom air flow ****??
Why is it there??

I think the air flow **** is just in case you don't have a regulator, so probably just ignore it.

There's a few different sites with help for setting up guns.
Here's one:

You need to tune the gun to get the correct pattern and droplet size for the material you're spraying.

the air one comes in handy if you have to paint in a closed area like under a door handle you just turn all 3 down and you have a very small pattern that is less likey to drip. not sure if thats what its truely for but ive always used it for smaller trickier spots to paint
