My camaro got backed into the other day.... by some faggy kid who has only had his lisensce for a week (literally) he was driviving a Ford F-350 with a wing on the tailgate (dumb) backed up and claimed he didn't see me. I was up at practice at the time..... but i'm gonna get every penny i can and have her fixed with the addition of a new paintjob b/c if he fixes it the paint won't match.... ( the paint isn't original)

 

Gaaww.. I know **** happens, but that sucks. looks like a solid car, get her fix, should be as good as new!

 

when i got my car,it had a new quarter panel on it, said that some guy in a ford f-250 (must be a ford thing to hit gm cars) backed into the fender, right under the window...said the window was ok, but seeing as how it was a co-worker he felt bad about making him pay for a new paint job...i say f that kid and get every last time out of it...get the new paint and everything!

Sux man! I see a new hood and fender at least. Just get either a donor hood and fender or a new GM hood and fender. Dont settle for the aftermarket replacement ones. They never fit right!

 

Needs a new header panel too. But its fixable.

Insurance companys say a beginner driver will get into a wreck there first year. This was his, and with a huge truck like that I can see how he wouldnt see a low sports car.

Good luck. His insurance is gonna pay for a hood, fender, light, and refinish time.
Best bet is take the check, buy some used parts, and have it painted.

Give credit to the kid for not running. Where I live, all the dumb kids just run (and the stupid ones get caught). Although if he checked all the mirrors before he started, he would have seen your car. Everyone says never use the mirrors as a guide, so no one looks into them at all, but this is a perfect instance of why you should use them to add to your vision. The sheet metal on the fender is pushed straight back and only that section damaged, so he'd have to hit it with the drivers side corner of his bumper going straight back. Which he should be able to see if his mirrors are set correctly.

 

 

I'm skeptical they'll paint the whole car for that damage- they'll just blend it and tell you to deal with it. Maybe they'll remove the window banner for you- that'd be a nice upgrade.

 

Theres nothing wrong with the windsheild decal. i like the looks of it on my car.

I was talking to my buddy last night (adjuster) and he said if the paint is faded, they subtract for the condition - so he may end up with less money.

When you get your money from insurance, go find good used parts and get all the parts you need, then take it and have it fixed/painted. When my car was barely hit in the side, my car was totalled. (still clear title) This was because on the estimates they get new parts...a new passenger side door skin was $1200!

Well guess what I just went to my local junkyard and got a complete door, everything on it(even same color, lol) for $100. And I just got the other parts I needed out of the junkyard and off here at TGO. To get it fixed it cost me about half of what the insurance gave me...

 

That makes sense... i looked on the estimate and a GM hood costs $800!!! OMFG!!!! o well thats how they make money.....

 

yea insurance isnt gonna want to paint the whole car they will try and blend trust me it was an up hill battle to get my car reapint after my accident and it was way more damage than that, in fact my car still is in the shop waiting for paint, lesson learned dont think ur gonna be able to get new this and new that even if its not ur fault ur still prolly gonna end up gettin less in the end

Looks like this helped you out a lot, love the new hood with louvers and the iroc style nose cone.

I would be really mad if that happened to me. Probably would have punched him in the face and then said, "sorry, didn't see you there".

 

That's called assault. A person could EASILY charge you, and you'd be arrested. Trust me....I took that route one day. It was more fun watching the cops haul him off, and knowing his arrest record would reflect it!

 

the only thing i did to it was i changed the grill, put in the foglights, told them to put an IROC hood on it, and he only painted the hood,bumper cover, and the fender that got ruined. But it still loks mad nice now!! now i just need to get some more HP. the other day i blew past a Porsche and a Mustang GT it was fun the mustang looked like to tried to catch up but said screw it b/c i was going too fast already then i didn't stop b/c i knew he could ruin me from a stop lol and then the other night me and my friend were flying down this one road and got back to his house and listened to his scanner and heard a officer going to the road we were bombing down b/c someone called in street racing lol (don't worry i'm not an idiot, i can handle my car very well and i know when not to push it.....i would NEVER hurt my Camaro i love that thing.

Sorry, but that sounds like the typical "*****" fly by...Race them from a stop, puts 4-5 lengths on them, then slow down, because you've already whooped them, and they'll still fly by you, like they just won!
