Need some opinions guys

Ok, I just put on my Ram Air II hood and I was wondering what's going to look better on my car before it hits the body shop cause once it's done it's done.

I have two noses to choose from and am undecided which one to go with. Should I go with the 85-90 T/A nose or should I go with the 91-92 Banshee nose? It is the Banshee nose that connects to the ground effects so I would have to attach the 91-92 ground effects at least on the front but that's not an issue. Give me some feedback please.

i love my 89 style TA nose... i really dislike the way the 91-92s look..the ground effects look like a 2 year old designed them, especially the peice on the rear bumper , ewww

With the ram air II hood I would definately go with the 91-92 front end, it just seems to flow better IMO. If you had the ram air I, I would say the 85-90.

Definitely the right idea here.

The 85-90 nose looks like it belongs on a snowplow anyway. The banshee nose brings the F bodies into the 90s pretty well. Very sleek. Definitely looks way better than any 4th gens.

The RA II hood to me was made for the banshee nose. Aren't those banshee noses relatively rare? Iif you decide to go with the snowplow look then you could possibly make some money selling the banshee nose... Just a thought.

Re: Need some opinions guys

Ok, so far one for the T/A and two for the Banshee. I have the T/A ground effects on my car if anyone was wondering.

If I stick with the banshee, I'm going to have to get the little side skirts that connect to the banshee nose at least, to do it right. I love the banshee nose, don't get me wrong but I am considering the T/A nose because it goes with the existing ground effects for starters and number two, the T/A is a tad lower to the ground. Secondly when I put new springs on my car a year ago, it seemed that the front (with the banshee nose on) didn't look low enough. So it's still decisions, decisions.

The help I could really use now is someone who has a fiberglass hood with hood pins that can tell me what they used to drill through the fiberglass without destroying it!

I think the ram air II hood looks good with either nose if its adjusted to fit correctly Most pics of these hoods I see most dont fit right. here is mine on my 85 TA

You can use a regular drill bit to drill through the fiberglass.

I think the Ram Air hood looks way better on a Banshee nose, just liek how the Powerbulge hood looks better on the older style noses. Just my thoughts though.

Wacky, you had to have gone through hell to get your hood to line up that perfectly. I can already tell mine will NOT line up as good as yours. My only consolation is that since I repainting my car black, it won't be "as" noticeable.

Oh yeah it took a very long time to get the hood right. We adjusted everything that could move(nose-fenders-headlight covers etc)

Re: Need some opinions guys

tell the bodyshop to paint both front ends and swap them out every few months. thay should not charge that much extra its a small piece.

heres mine. ITS NOT FOR LOOKS!! haha its for feedin my oil and transcooler with plenty of air. im runnin some ponys above 650 i just can hook untill i tub it

----------
also a stiff swaybar and some underhood reinforcement will help line up your hood. TA's flex like fat girls

Dude, I have done some of that already and what a pain. The only thing I have left to try is using hood pins just to pull it down some more. At that point it's either near perfect or never will be.

It's funny you said that because that thought crossed my mind. However the only problem is that the ground effects don't line up from a T/A to Banshee nose.
