I just got this car from my Dad who would like me to sell it. I do not know much about them but I have been learning a lot from this site. What I was wondering is how many of the RS's did they make into T-tops for this year? I actually have lots of questions but I can't seam to find much info on the T-tops. This car is really in good shape for the age and has just over 75,000 original miles on it. What would any of you suggest as an asking price? The tires and rims alone are worth 1,000 dollars.

very , very many were T-Tops . nothing rare , i'm looking out my window right now at one . its worth is what someone is willing to pay . if its as you say , between 3K to 6K . many factors enter in , options , rust , mods. , and the list goes on . looks o.k. from the pic. , why does he want you to sell ? keep it and enjoy .
Hi Tom, thanks for the reply!
I guess I haven't looked hard enough! We have thought of keeping it, but know it would just sit around and collect dust. I think someone who can really enjoy it should have it. It's a fun car and I love to drive it, I just don't have the time.
Do you have one of these?

I have a 87 firebird that sits in my driveway. Insurance is dirt cheap because it get driven maybe 4000 miles a year. Sits under a cover. If you DO sell it, one day you WILL regret it, saying " I wish I would have kept my dads car". Money would be nice and it will be spent quick, but the car will last for years.
Your probably both right, I will have to think about that a little longer. However, there are things of my fathers for which there would be no price but for some reason the car does not hold the same sentiment. If someone really liked it and wanted it, I don't know that I could turn 'em down knowing we wouldn't care for it like we should.
Tom, I am happy for you, having the time to enjoy yours. Drive-on!
