window motor
So my drivers side power window will only go down about a quarter of the way, but I hear the motor continue to try to take it down. And when I roll it up it makes a grinding sound when the window reaches the top. Anyone know if this is the motor or something else? I originally thought the motor, but the fact that it stops at a specific point and once to keep going up makes me wonder. Thanks in advance!

Re: window motor
sounds to me that you have a bad window regulater. only one way to find out and that is to take the door panel off and check out to see what everything is doing

Re: window motor
have someone move that window up and down. Look to see if you can see where it is binding or making noise. make sure your regulator moves freely
