Spoiler: To Paint or Not to Paint?

Did a search but couldn't find anything. I have a high rise spoiler on my 92 RS and was told that racing stripes shouldn't be painted on the spoiler, only on the truck. Anyone can paint their car however they want but is this customary?

Never seen a unpainted strip one. I think it would look unfinished.

Heres a link to one that claims to have original paint.

i Agree with Jeff. your car your call, do what you want with it. if your looking for a vote. i vote for stripe the spoiler just because i cant imagine one without it if the car has the stripe.

I thought that the spoiler was always painted with the stripe. I agree with the others that it would look unfinished and out if place.

I kind of had the same view that it would look unfinished if spoiler was unpainted. Thanks for everyone's input.
