name of part, "splash guard"?

No idea what it is called I just know when my car was stock I had one that was kinda busted up and I need another one. It is the part under the nose on camaros. Not the air dam, the other part, the one that connects to the chin spoiler to the core support.

I have no idea what to search for on ebay. I have tried but never find anything... Any help?

nope. It goes from the nose GFX to the rad support area. You don't have it there. Might have been a 91-92 thing I dunno.

see it here on that japaneese car that is so famous. He might have modded it a little to make room for all that other stuff, but thats the stock part that I used to have and that no one seems to know about.

I really want it back though as it pushes the nose out and keeps it from sagging a little.

Just a note, the pic I posted wasn't of my '89. It was from a different 3rd gen and I'm not sure what year.
Just wanted to clarify that the pic doesn't neccessarily represent an '89 should or shouldn't look like. It was just to try to identify the part we were looking for.

I know what part you're talking about. It went into use when all the tpi ductwork was changed in '88 (maybe '87). I have a cracked one off my old '92 that may have a part # on it.

Dennis I just bought one for my car. It is still available brand new from your local GM parts department for around $35. I'll go get the part number.

You're welcome. I checked with gmpartsdirect.com on the price but with shipping it was about the same getting it local and I got it a lot faster.

Re: name of part, "splash guard"?

Hmmm. good point. I was about to order it up from them, but I can always just go to my local dealer and ask them. They know my face now, haha. I will try the dealer, if they are unlucky at finding one, I will order it online. Thanks again.
