what can i do about my trunk latch on my 91 RS

the guides on my trunk latch are completely worn out and i checked w/ GM and the can't get them and i cant seem to find a real good one any where,i do have the later style latch on like a 92 but it wont bolt up, should i just fab. it up or keep lookin?

i dont know what the trunk latch is like on these cars (mine has the electric moror version ) but if you can take it out in one piece you could probibly get one from a junk yard or have one of the site sposors that deals with "new and used parts" cut one out of one of their cars. i know on an 94 jeep cherokee that i had the hatch latch broke and i had to drill out 3 rivetts to remove it but that was a common jeep problem that they sold parts for. good luck!!!!
