modified TA front bumper?

modified TA front bumper?
A while back there was a post about a guy who took an 85 - 90 style trans am front bumper, and cut a big hole in the center. Then smoothed it out. It kinda looked like one of those intercooler-friendly bumpers that you see on imports.
My guess is that this will greatly improve radiator cooling.... possibly eliminating the need for an air damn? The only problem would be finding kick-*** mesh that didn't look *****
I can't find the thread. I was wondering if anyone could provide pics of the finished project. I'm thinking about having this done.
